Why do I have to register for an account?
Registering creates an account for you to use throughout the awards process. You can use the account to submit entries, check the status of entries, order your awards and update your personal information at any time. You can register here. How do I update my account information?
You can update your information by visiting your Account Profile.
In what category should I enter my work?
Please enter your work into the category or categories that you feel are most appropriate. Often there is more than one category that fits each entry. You can enter into more than one category.
What if I can’t find a category that fits my work?
If you’re crafting projects across digital content, design or experiences, we have a category to honor it. To find the best fit, start by reviewing the comprehensive list of our categories here–often there will be multiple categories where your work fits and we encourage you to apply to more than one. Can I enter the same piece in several different categories?
A. Many of our entries are entered into multiple categories. You may enter a piece in as many categories as are appropriate for each entry, and your entry will be reviewed separately for each category entered. Please note that the entry fee is due for each category entered.
How many honorees are there per category?
A. Jurors evaluate entries against a standard of merit, not against each other. As such, there is not a fixed number of honorees per category, and some categories may have several honorees, while others have none.
How do I upload my entries later?
A. If you selected the option to “Upload Files Later” during the entry process, follow these steps to upload your work.
I uploaded my entries. Do I still have to send them to you?
If you uploaded a file for your entry, or your entry was a URL, you do not have to send anything else for that entry.
I chose to send my files. Can I just upload them instead?
Yes! If you originally indicated you would mail your files, but would like to upload instead, you can do so from your Completed Entries. Simply login to your account, navigate to “View My Saved Entries,” then “Completed Orders.” Follow the prompts to Upload File. If you need to replace an already uploaded file, or would like to use a URL instead, please contact customerservice@w3award.com for assistance.
Who are the jurors?
Entries into the w3 Awards are reviewed by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), an assembly of 500+ industry leaders from acclaimed brands, institutions and agencies like Microsoft, McCANN, Netflix, Havas, New York University, The Walt Disney Company, Work & Co, the National Gallery of Art and more.

Can I get Jurors’ comments about my piece?
Currently, we do not release detailed commentary or individual review scoring for entries. As the w3 Awards is a large contest with thousands of entries annually, there are simply too many entries to be able to provide valuable and substantial feedback for each entry.
When will I know if I’ve won?
Entrants will be notified of final results once review is completed. This is usually complete in October.

What is the w3 Awards Winners Gallery?
The w3 Awards Winners Gallery showcases the work of all Best in Show, Gold, and Silver honorees.
Honorees are represented in the gallery using elements submitted during the entry process. If you are an honoree, you may add additional credits at any time by logging into your dashboard. If you would like to replace the gallery image for your winning piece, please email a new JPEG under 640px wide to customerservice@w3award.com.
How can I get additional award statuettes?
When entrants are notified that they have been chosen as honorees, they will receive the appropriate instructions to purchase their acceptance awards. Each honoree is able to order as many individual statuettes and certificates as they would like for clients, team members or anyone else who participated in the creation of the winning piece. To be sure only w3 Award Honorees are able to receive trophies, only your company (the company that entered the winning piece) can order an award. How long does it take to get my awards?
Each statuette and certificate is custom produced. We produce statuettes and certificates in the order in which they are received. Typically, statuettes will be shipped to you approximately six to eight weeks from the date that you pay for your order. Certificates will be shipped to you in approximately six weeks. Statuettes and Certificates will be shipped separately.
Can I decide what information will appear on my statuettes and certificates?
Yes! Each item includes the Year and Competition name, and you may decide what else you would like engraved on your statuettes or printed on your certificates. For statuettes, you are limited to 4 lines with 26 characters per line including spaces. For certificates, you are limited to 4 lines with 30 characters per line, including spaces.
We often recommend using these lines to indicate the title of your winning work, the winning category, and the name(s) and/or title(s) of key contributors.
